With assistance from SAP customers, F5 Networks has created a solution that delivers security, scalability, high availability, and intelligent performance for mySAP® ERP deployments. By deploying F5 Networks BIG-IP® LTM system with mySAP Portal for example, enterprises extend their control over their network and application traffic. The BIG-IP product enables organizations to increase SAP application reliability by providing high availability through its advanced health checking capabilities. It also allows organizations to quickly scale their SAP solutions using the BIG-IP LTM products advanced load balancing algorithms to meet growing application demands. Prerequisites and configuration notes The following are prerequisites for this Deployment Guide: ◆ We recommend using the latest version of mySAP ERP. This Deployment Guide was created using mySAP ERP. ◆ The BIG-IP system must be running version 9.0 or later, we strongly recommend running version 9.2.3 or later. We assume that the BIG-IP LTM device is already installed in the network. ◆ This document is written with the assumption that you are familiar with both the BIG-IP LTM system and SAP.
