An ideal solution for warehouse/fulfillment, package delivery and other industries, this portable, robust, easy-to-use and high-performance printing solution applies directly to a package or other surface, eliminating the cost and time needed for labeling operations. The lightweight (12 oz.), hand-mounted HP Handheld sp400 can complete more than 1,250 scans and prints per hour, and operates on a lithium-ion battery capable of delivering up to 5,000 scans and prints per charge. In typical scan-and-print operations, a user, operating either in a hand-worn mode or using an optional handle mount, points the HP Handheld sp400 AiOs scanner to a 1D or 2D barcode, postal code or OCR code to capture supply chain management information. The AiOs integrated Wi-Fi or Bluetooth® wireless connection sends the scan data to a warehouse management system and receives data sent back to the device. Once the new information is received, the user rolls the device across the area to be printed, and a fast-drying, smudge-free non-toxic image is applied directly to the package surface. Designed for rugged, mobile use throughout supply chain environments, the HP Handheld sp400 AiO features 2.5-cm cube print cartridges designed to output thousands of .53 in. x 2 in.
