We document and discuss a number of interface explorationsconducted while building a cablearray robotic sculpture in the form of afiberglass biomimetic flying manta ray. Our two primary interface deviceswere a gesture sensing Essential Reality P5 glove and a Microsoft Xbox 360game controller. We also offer a conceptual design space comprising three axes:mapping frame of reference and interface location.
