Content Inside: A Free Interactive Online Tutorial to drive OpenOffice Adoption A Free Interactive Online Tutorial to drive OpenOffice Adoption It is indeed exciting to see the recent recognition that Open Document Format (ODF)has received, especially for ODF to become an ISO approved standard. While many government and Linux users have realized the importance of adopting ODF and using OpenOffice, there are many obstacles face by organizations in the event of converting the non-OpenOffice users to adopt a global policy to switch over from MS Office to OpenOffice, with retraining as one of their top concerns. Addressing high retraining costs Resolvo Systems would like to address the above concerns by offering a free online training portal to benefit all OpenOffice.org users. As compared to the other free OpenOffice tutorials available, Resolvos OpenOffice computer-based training (OO CBT) is an interactive and comprehensive flash learning tool. Another distinct benefit of OO CBT is that it allows organization to track and monitor the training progress of every user in its organization via the web reporting modules. Interactive learning free for all OO CBT includes tutorial topics for key desktop applications Writer, Impress and Calc. The training portal is structured in such a way that it consists step-by-step interactive flash tutorials, knowledge base with search by topic/keywords capabilities, humorous animation in between topics and online quizzes. In the spirit of free software, we would like to make this OO CBT free for all as part of our contribution to the OO community. This is in line with the vision of Resolvo corporate social responsibility, which is to make ICT affordable and accessible to all.
